Painting Live Watercolor Guest Portraits at Misty and Chris’s North Carolina Wedding

Misty and Chris’s North Carolina wedding at the Bellevue in Wilmington was an intimate celebration of love and laughter -focusing on family, friends, and most importantly, good times. To add a unique touch to the festivities, we incorporated live watercolor guest portraits.

Before the celebration unfolded, I set up my table easel and paints, excited to quickly capture the individual personalities and joy of each guest who approached. Guests were curious, engaged, and eager to see themselves and their loved ones come to life on canvas.

From personal style to funky hair-dos, every portrait reflected the unique style and spirit of the subjects. It was a heartwarming experience to witness the joy on their faces as they saw their personalized keepsakes being created.

Live guest portraits proved to be more than just entertainment; they fostered a sense of connection and community. Guests shared stories and laughter, creating lasting memories beyond the dance floor. They had a great time finding the portraits of old friends and others that they just met.

As the evening drew to a close, it was an honor to see the happy couple surrounded by their loved ones and a collection of vibrant portraits that encapsulated the essence of their special day.
